MTUP stands for Message Text Update Program. It is a compiler used on
Fujitsu's VME mainframes to produce a Message Text Module (MTM). The
MTM is used to merge fixed blocks of text held within the module with
parameter data supplied at run-time.
The MTM doesn't have the ability to log anything to the screen - it's
simply a formatter of text - so following the source of the MTM below
is a "wrap" to it written in System Control Language (SCL) to call it
and log the messages.
This is the Message Text Module. The run-time data supplied to it
appears as P1, P2...
